Koratty (Thrissur) IT park to be launched by November

Another great news for IT professionals from Kerala who work and live far away from their home land due to lack of opportunities in their state.
The first 'spoke' IT park of Kochi cyber park,the Koratty IT Park will go on stream in November with the first phase to be ready for occupation soon.Koratty, once known for its major industrial units will be in the IT industry map of the country soon.



The state government has allotted 42 acres of land for the Koratty IT park. The park is 45 km from Kochi and around 14 km from the Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery.When completed, the park is expected to offer a direct employment potential of around 6000 IT professionals. The state PWD has already initiated a proposal to develop a six-lane road connecting Kochi and Thrissur.In the first phase, approximately 70,000 sft area with plug-and-play facilities will be provided.
The IT department has conceived a 'Hub and spok' model for the development of IT in the state. The hubs are Technopark Thiruvananthapuram, Infopark Kochi and Cyberpark Kozhikode.The sopkes will be developed at Kollam, Ambalapuzha, Cherthala, Thrissur (Koratty), Kannur and Kasaragod.
