Wife hacked to death by husband
Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday 18 June 2009: Suspicion of marital infidelity claimed the life of another woman. An auto driver hacked his wife to death at their home in Vattapara. The woman killed has been identified as Sheeja (36), daughter of Omana and wife of Madhusoodanan Nair. Nair hacked her while she was sleeping this morning.
Though she was taken to the hospital after she suffered serious injuries on her neck, her life could not be saved. The body has been shifted to the hospital mortuary.
Sheeja was working as a sweeper at a private hospital in Nalanchira. Renju and Manikandan are her children.
The Vattappara police have arrested Nair. According to the police, it did not seem like an unplanned act, but rather a pre-meditated murder which he had planned yesterday night and executed this morning
